Valorant is the scheduling problem that long matches create. A single map runs about forty minutes and a best of three can pass two hours, so eight teams in double elimination is fourteen series and, even with every match in its own lobby, a two day event rather than an evening.
The usual answer is to shorten the rounds rather than cut the bracket. Best of one until the semi-finals and best of three after keeps the second life that double elimination gives you while roughly halving the schedule. That is what most community cups do, and it is a decision worth making before the draw rather than after round one has overrun.
Double elimination with a best of one until the semi-finals and a best of three after, which is the community cup standard. Single elimination at best of three if you have only one evening. Group stages once you are past sixteen teams.
One map is about forty minutes. A best of three runs to ninety and can pass two hours, which is why the series length matters more here than the match count.
Enter each team on one line in the Teams division with all five players after a colon, so the printed bracket names the roster.
Every match is its own custom lobby, so rounds run in parallel. Plan the event in rounds and give each one a generous window.
Agree the map pool and the veto process before the draw. A best of three with no veto agreed in advance is where a schedule actually falls apart.

Seeds are paired so the strongest and weakest meet first, which keeps the top seeds in opposite halves of the draw. This is the order the board is drawn in, top to bottom.
Rounds run one after another, because a round cannot start until the one feeding it has finished. Matches inside a round can all run at once, so the number of lobbies you have decides the day more than the number of entrants does.
