How to make a tournament bracket

TourBracket draws a seeded bracket from a list of names and keeps score as you play. There is nothing to install and no account to make.

    One per line. Teams can carry a roster after a colon, and seeds follow the order you type them.

    Pick a format

    Single elimination, double elimination or round robin. Each division chooses its own, and the draw is sized for you.

    Tap through the matches

    Set a winner with one tap, undo a mis-click, and the bracket relinks itself until a champion is standing.

Supported tournament formats

Single elimination

Lose once and you are out. From 2 entrants up.

The quickest way to finish: one loss and you are out. Fields that are not a power of two give byes to the top seeds, and the two beaten semi-finalists can play off for third.

Double elimination

A first loss only drops you to the losers bracket. From 3 entrants up.

Everyone gets a second life. A first loss drops you into the losers bracket, and only a second knocks you out, so one bad match cannot end a good run.

Round robin

Everyone plays everyone, ranked on points. From 2 entrants up.

Everyone plays everyone, ranked on a live table at three points a win and one a draw. Run the schedule once, or twice for home and away.

Yes. TourBracket is free and needs no account. There is nothing to install and no limit on how many tournaments you draw.
Why are there ads?
Ads are what pay for TourBracket. There is no paid tier, no sign-up and no cap on how much you can draw, so advertising covers the hosting and the domain instead of a fee at the door.
Which tournament formats are supported?
Single elimination with an optional third-place play-off, double elimination with a winners and a losers bracket, and round robin where everyone plays everyone, optionally home and away.
How are entrants seeded?
Seeds follow the order you type them, seed 1 first, so the top seeds meet as late as possible. Shuffle seeds randomises the order, and any field that is not a power of two gives byes to the top seeds.
Where is my tournament stored?
In your browser only. Your entrants and results are never uploaded, there is no account and no copy on any server, so clearing your site data clears the tournament.
Does this site use cookies?
The tournament itself uses local storage rather than cookies, and the page-view counter is cookieless. The ads on this page are served by Google, which may set cookies and use your browsing data to personalise them.
