3v3 is built for tournaments in a way that five a side is not. One hoop, ten minutes or first to 21, and a whole round of games fits in the time a single full court match would take. That is why a summer 3x3 event can run thirty two teams through a car park on four half courts in an afternoon.
Double elimination is the usual choice at that speed. Games are short enough that a second life costs almost no schedule, and a team that drove across town to lose one game in ten minutes is a team that does not enter next year.
Double elimination for eight teams or more, which is quick at this game length and guarantees everyone two games. Pool play into a knockout once you are past sixteen teams and want a guaranteed three. Round robin for six teams or fewer.
FIBA 3x3 is ten minutes of running clock or first to 21, whichever comes first. Twenty minutes a slot covers the game and the changeover.
A half court is a station, and four of them fit on one full court. That is what turns a long day into an afternoon.
Enter each team as one line in the Teams division with the players after a colon. A 3x3 roster is three players plus one substitute.
Scoring is ones and twos rather than twos and threes, and the shot clock is twelve seconds. Nothing here depends on it, but tell the teams before the first game rather than during it.

Seeds are paired so the strongest and weakest meet first, which keeps the top seeds in opposite halves of the draw. This is the order the board is drawn in, top to bottom.
Rounds run one after another, because a round cannot start until the one feeding it has finished. Matches inside a round can all run at once, so the number of half courts you have decides the day more than the number of entrants does.
